Accessibility
Built for everyone in the house.
We aim for WCAG 2.2 at level AA on this site and on every Haven panel.
What we do
- Tested on every build. Automated browser checks audit every panel screen, each finish and the panel at phone width with axe-core. The current build has no violations.
- Words, not only colors. A door, a lock or a sensor always says its state in words; color is never the only signal.
- Keyboard. Every control can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus ring, and a link to skip to the content.
- Captions. The full film has captions of the guide’s words, shown beneath the picture.
- Less motion. With Reduce Motion on, the site and the panels stop their animations.
- Talk or touch. Haven can be used by voice or by touch, and it speaks its replies aloud unless you turn that off.
Known limits
- The 3D house is a picture for sighted visitors. Every room in it is also a labelled button, and the same information is in the rooms list.
- Automated checks find most problems, not all. We test by hand as well, and we fix what people tell us.
Tell us
